OTA Middle School joins virtual mission to Tallahassee
Our 7th and 8th grades had the opportunity to attend a Virtual Mission to Tallahassee with Teach Florida! During these two hours, the students heard from Rep. Randy Fine (State Representative), Rabbi Hauer (Executive Director of the OU), and Lt. Governor Jeanette Nuñez. Michigan Supreme Court, Justice Richard Bernstein, spoke to them about his fight to overcome his blindness, and the perseverance he needed to attain his current position. He even told them he'd competed in Iron Man competition, his words were extremely inspirational to our students! Finally, the students had the chance to speak personally to breakout session with State Representative David Borrero in which they asked questions directly to him!
